About Us:
Precious Hope Farm is a small private rescue and sanctuary located outside Kitchener, Ontario. Since 2002, we have rescued from surrender, neglect, auction, and slaughter. The 9 horses we now have in our care are all rescues. We are dedicated in spreading the word about horse slaughter and also to educate others about trying to keep these beautiful animals out of harms way. Donations have been a big part of our operation and continue to be. No matter what the amount, it all contributes to the horses in our care. One of our rescues, a beautiful 5 year old Paint, was in foal when we got her last September, and gave birth to a gorgeous colt this May. We bid against the meat people at auction to get her, and now  mother and son are happy and enjoying life at the fullest.

You can also help the horses by Purchasing our 2009 Calendar Just click the link below

It will make a great gift!

Meet our Herd!

Frosty a Thoroughbred came to us after being retired from racing in February of 2004. He now enjoys mounted games, showing and trail riding. He loves his treats . Frosty was in terrible shape when he came to us. He could barely walk , was also very underweight, and was a weaver. He no longer weaves, is in good weight and sound for light riding. He does require some supplements and special diet to keep his weight up.

"The Empty Stall"

There is always an empty stall at an equine rescuers.
Even though you can't see it, its always there.
It's invisible to most, but the stall exists in the rescuers heart as a void, a void which they know will be filled soon, and later emptied.

Among the cries of we are full, no more horses!..the invisible stall still exists in the mind and heart of the equine rescuer.
It exists sure enough as hope exists, and kindness and love exists in the world.

There is always one more spot, one invisible stall, to make a difference one day for one horse. And even though people say "you can't save them all"...the rescuer gets to say, "I made a difference... for that one, that one in the empty stall. "
